After attempting to replace the cab mounts it was determined that the crossmember at the rear of the cab was too rusted to save.  A new fabricated crossmember was obtained and installed along with the new cab mounts.

The new radiator core support, electric fan and new updated headlights have been installed.  The engine bay is painted a nice gloss black per the customer request.

We are currently working on replacing the floor and rocker panel patches along with the rear cab corners.  The new doors have been hung and adjustments are being made for fit.  The radiator core support is being prepared for removal and replacement.

This 1972 Chevy Nova has been sprayed in this great looking blue color.  After completing the paint, the owner elected to complete the trim and vinyl top.

This 1972 Chevy Nova will be receiving a black vinyl top after being painted.  Originally it did not have the vinyl top option so new trim has been positioned and studs will be installed prior to the trim out phase of the build.

1971 Monte Carlo Update #6

This 1972 Monte Carlo looks fantastic in this shade of red with pearl undertones.  We will post another update as it is trimmed out and the new vinyl roof is installed.

Attention to Detail

At Restoration and Collision Experts, Inc. we pride ourselves in the attention to detail with parts that most shops will scuff and paint.  Items like door hinges and smaller bolt on parts like these Monte Carlo headlight surrounds and tail light assemblies are media blasted, epoxy primed and prepped for body color.  Every bolt for these pieces are also media blasted for the best finish possible.

The front filler panel, headlight surrounds, and the tail light assemblies have been media blasted and sprayed with epoxy primer.  After being sanded and sprayed with primer they will be painted body color.

Freshly stripped and primed. This Big Block Monte Carlo is having some body work completed as well as an all over paint job and new vinyl top.  This car looked nice when it arrived and will look even better with the color change and fresh trim.  

1969 Chevy Camaro Pro Street  Nov 2023

We are working on this Tangerine colored 1969 Chevy Camaro Pro Street Car with a few minor body issues.  After completing the paint this car will be headed to the Mecum Auto Auction in Kissimmee Florida for the January event.

With the new door shells and deck lid in place this Camaro is ready for another coat of primer and second blocking.  Look for another update soon as it gets closer to a fresh coat of paint.

The extensive metal work on the rear of this Camaro is complete and we are beginning the body work to get it straight for new paint. The work included a new rear body panel, new trunk floor pan, wheel houses, and new rear floor pan.
Now it is moving forward with getting all the body panels straight for primer and paint.

This 1972 Camaro has been in the shop for extensive rear end sheet metal work to include trunk pan, wheel houses, rear valance panel, rear floor pan,  and to address some less than acceptable work done by another shop on a prior visit. These photos were taken when it arrived at the shop.  This Camaro will also be receiving an all over paint job.  We will keep you posted with updates as they are available. 

NHRA Champion Corvette Carbon Fiber Body Update 2

After applying the airbrush graphics the body was clear coated and sent back to the car builder for assembly.

At RACE Collision we have access to a nationally recognized airbrush artist Chuck Buckler of Chuck B Designs.  Chuck did some incredible airbrush designs on this beautiful race car.

RACE Collision was chosen to complete the work on this NHRA Champion carbon fiber body for the 2023 season.  The task was to smooth all the body panels and to paint it for National events in the 10.5 tire class.  

Challenger Update 5

We are coming down the home stretch with this 1971 Dodge Challenger.  Our next update will include photos of the Blown Big Block Mopar motor and detail photos of the build.
